How To Onboard On Meesho Warehouse In Detailed?

In the world of online shopping, making sure products get to customers on time and in good shape is super important. Meesho knows this, so they came up with something called Warehousing-as-a-Service (WaaS). Basically, suppliers can keep their stuff in Meesho’s warehouses. This helps them manage orders better and deal with returns easier. In this blog, we’ll talk about how Meesho helps suppliers get set up with their warehouse program and all the good stuff it does for them.

So, what exactly is Meesho’s Warehousing-as-a-Service?
It’s a program they made to make life easier for suppliers. Basically, it helps suppliers with a bunch of stuff like packing orders, dealing with returns, managing claims, and more. This means suppliers can focus on what they do best, while Meesho handles all the complicated warehousing stuff.
Where are Meesho’s warehouses located?
Right now, Meesho has warehouses in Bangalore, Delhi, and Kolkata. They’ll add more in other places later to cover all states.
Getting Started with Warehousing-as-a-Service
1) Who can join Meesho’s WaaS program?
It’s currently available to only a chosen group of suppliers, but Meesho aims to make it available nationwide in the coming months.
2) How do I begin using the warehousing service?
To start using Meesho’s Warehousing-as-a-service program, just fill out the onboarding form. After that, you’ll get an email with instructions to finish signing up.
3) What documents do I need to sign up?
To start using Meesho’s warehousing services, you just need your GST and APOB certificates.

4) If you already have GST in those states, what comes next?
If you already have GST in other states, your next move is to secure the APOB certificate.
5) What do I do if I don’t have GST in these states?
If you don’t have GST, you’ll need to get both the GST and APOB certificates to onboard on WAAS.
6) Will I use the same account for WaaS, and will all my products be visible?
Meesho will set up a new supplier ID on your supplier panel for the Warehousing-as-a-service program. All the products you want to send to the warehouse will be visible on this new account with the same ID. Your original account won’t be affected by this, so your products will still be visible there. If customers near the warehouse order your products, those orders will go through the Warehouse account first.
7) How long does it take to get started?
The onboarding process is super easy, just 6 simple steps. It could be as quick as 15-20 days from when you sign up to when your inventory is in the warehouse and ready to go. Meesho will be right there with you every step of the way, sending you emails as you go. And if you need help, just reach out to your KAMs.
Warehouse Inventory Management

1) Can suppliers choose which products to send to the warehouse and how many?
When suppliers join WAAS, they can decide which products they want to send and how many of each. Meesho use a smart system to figure out how much of each product we’ll need based on demand. But if suppliers can’t send as many as we ask for, that’s okay too.
2) How do suppliers keep track of their inventory in the warehouse?
Once suppliers send their inventory to the warehouse, Meesho takes care of updating it for them. They don’t need to worry about it. Meesho’s warehouse partner handles things like checking the inventory and putting it away. Then, the inventory gets updated on the supplier’s panel. If there are any issues with the inventory, suppliers don’t need to raise claims. Orders from the South are handled by the Bangalore warehouse, and orders from nearby areas like Delhi and Kolkata are managed by their respective warehouses.
3) Can suppliers see where my stuff goes in the warehouse and know how much is left?
Suppliers get a report on what’s in the warehouse every few days. They also get info on sales, supplier profits, and what’s in stock.

4) How are suppliers’ products kept safe from theft or damage?
Suppliers’ products are always insured while in our warehouse. If anything happens, we’ll pay supplier back the fair price. Once supplier stuff is here, supplier don’t need to stress about it being stolen or lost. If it doesn’t sell, we’ll send it back to supplier. We’ve set up lots of security measures to keep suppliers’ products safe. Our warehouse has security cameras, and only authorized people can get in.

Managing Shipping and Logistics
2) Cost and Keeping Track of Shipping
It costs Rs. 5.25 per unit (excluding GST) to send your goods to the warehouse. Once Meesho sorts out the pickup and shipping to the warehouse, they’ll send you links so you can track where your stuff is.
3) No Hazardous Stuff Allowed
For safety reasons, you can’t store anything hazardous or dangerous in the warehouse.
4) Fees for Using the Warehouse
Meesho’s got a clear fee list for using their warehouse. It covers things like picking and packing, handling returns, transportation, storage, quality checks, and insurance. When your sales go through the warehouse, the fees get taken out of your payments following Meesho’s usual payment schedule.
5) How Billing and Payments Work
Meesho automatically takes out the warehouse fees from the money you make from delivered and returned orders. You can see all the details of what you owe on the supplier panel, and it lines up with Meesho’s standard payment schedule.
6) How Long You Can Store Stuff and What It Costs
If your products haven’t sold after 45 days from when they arrived at the warehouse, Meesho sends them back to you. And the good news is, there are no extra fees for storing stuff for a long time.
7) Getting Orders Processed from the Warehouse
You don’t have to worry about handling orders yourself – Meesho’s warehouse service provider takes care of making sure orders are processed on time. Plus, products in the WaaS program are part of the Next Day Dispatch program, so customers get their orders super quickly. Easy peasy!
